New AAP Guideline: ADHD Evaluation Can Begin at Age 4

Children may be evaluated for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADDH) beginning at age 4, according to updated clinical guidelines from the American Academy of Pediatrics.

"Primary care physicians should initiate an ADHD evaluation for any child 4 through 18 who has school or behavioral problems and symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity." Staggering New Statistics About ADHD

The results of a new attention-deficit study conducted by the ADHD Awareness Coalition suggests that 60 percent of ADD adults have lost jobs because of the disorder, nearly half of ADD children experience social struggles, and 38 percent of ADHD kids also have a sleep disorder.
